Fort Myers, FL (October 27, 2011) Franklin Foodservice Solutions Owner, Dave DeWalt, will be presenting a webinar on Wednesday, November 16th, from 2:00 – 3:00pm. The subject of the webinar is “Identifying and Eliminating Less-than-Minimum Order Costs.” The presentation is designed to educate individuals in food manufacturer Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Supply Chain about the cost of small orders, the reasons behind them, and strategies to control them.
“Many food manufacturers are surprised when we show them the number of ‘Less than Minimum’ (LTM) orders moving through their systems,” said Dave DeWalt, Owner, Franklin Foodservice Solutions. “Even if they understand the high costs of administration and logistics required to fill these orders, they have difficulty preventing them, or even managing the enforcement of order minimums. One challenge is understanding the source of an LTM order, and determining whether it is an occasional exception or an ongoing abuse of the company’s order policies. This webinar will teach a process for analyzing and classifying LTM orders, and suggests solutions for minimizing their frequency and cost.”
Dave DeWalt has an extensive background in presentations relevant to the foodservice manufacturing and distribution industries. He has presented a number of seminars, facilitated workshops, and spoken to a variety of foodservice organizations and associations. Dave is known for his down-to-earth approach and ability to engage with people, providing meaningful content on a wide variety of foodservice issues.
DeWalt added, “Organizations can often benefit from an outsider perspective when it comes to evaluating a particular issue, or overcoming a hurdle that they have run into. The goal of this presentation is to assist food manufacturers in their efforts to minimize costs and maximize efficiency, specifically in the area of ‘less than minimum’ orders.”
